• Lead on day-to-day internal financial management • Oversee daily financial operations and supervise finance management • Direct grant and revenue management processes • Develop and enhance financial management systems • Manage monthly financial reporting • Lead annual financial audits and coordinate IRS 990 filings • Manage budget forecasting and develop budgeting tools • Oversee documentation and administration of grants and contracts • Manage fiscal sponsorship program and charitable registrations • Collaborate with CFO to effectuate management processes
• No formal education requirements, CPA not required • Knowledge gained through undergraduate education in finance, accounting, or related field • Certification or training in accounting practices; comparable work experience • Working knowledge of GAAP, audits, regulatory requirements in nonprofit financial field • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets • Experience with budget management and financial forecasting • Knowledge of nonprofit legal structures related to financial management, specifically 501(c)3 and 501(c)4 compliance • Detail oriented and organized; proven ability to manage projects independently • Self-starter with initiative to identify and streamline processes • Champion of diversity & equity; commitment to social justice • Passion for youth organizing and Alliance mission
