Description

• Lead day-to-day internal financial management and operations • Oversee the Alliance's daily financial operations and supervise finance management • Direct the Alliance’s grant and revenue management processes • Create and enhance financial management systems, processes, and policies • Analyze and develop monthly financial reporting • Lead the Alliance’s annual financial audits • Manage budget forecasting and develop tools and strategies • Prepare financial reports for staff and stakeholders • Develop and maintain systems to manage departmental budgets • Oversee grants and contracts administration • Maintain systems for internal document storage and compliance • Direct internal operational and administrative processes • Manage organization’s IT and cybersecurity • Guide professional development of team members • Ensure departmental spending aligns with budgets

Requirements

• Working knowledge of GAAP, audits, and regulatory requirements in the nonprofit financial field • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets • Experience with budget management and financial forecasting • Ability to manage multiple projects, plan backwards, anticipate obstacles, troubleshoot, and make smart judgement calls • Track record of improving organizational systems and preparing departments to utilize them with rapidly shifting demands • Knowledge of nonprofit legal structures as it relates to financial management, specifically 501(c)3 and 501(c)4 compliance • Detail oriented and organized, with a proven ability to effectively and independently manage projects • Self-starter with strong initiative to identify and streamline processes • Willingness to think outside the box to reflect organizational values in financial management • Commitment to social justice and diversity & equity
