β’ Allied Talent Partners connects experienced professionals with climate-related projects and businesses in Africa. β’ The client is an advisory firm that unlocks capital for sustainable growth in underserved markets, focusing on clean energy access and nature-based solutions. β’ They are seeking Strategy Consultants or Research Analysts to conduct market assessments on clean technology topics across Africa, delivering actionable insights for U.S. companies. β’ Potential areas include green hydrogen, battery energy storage, biomass, bioenergy, captive power supply opportunities, and gender opportunities in clean tech. β’ Assessments will focus on key markets such as South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, Ghana, Morocco, and Egypt.
β’ Strong technical knowledge of clean technology topics such as green hydrogen, battery energy storage, biomass, bioenergy, or captive power supply. β’ Previous experience working in or with a consulting firm. β’ Proven experience conducting market assessments, particularly in the clean tech, energy, or related sectors. β’ Ability to analyze market trends, opportunities, challenges, and regulatory landscapes across various African regions. β’ Strong knowledge of the energy sector β including renewable energy, fossil fuels, power generation, and grid infrastructure, with a proven track record of conducting market assessments and feasibility studies. β’ Strong understanding of energy policy and regulations β especially within target regions, including knowledge of government incentives, renewable energy targets, and environmental regulations. β’ Ability to work with different stakeholders, defining effective workflows and setting regular meeting cadences to ensure seamless virtual collaboration. β’ Strong communication skills to effectively engage and collaborate with senior management. β’ Strong presentation skills
β’ Location: Remote based is fine with the client. Travel may be required to South Africa. β’ Operational requirements: Proficient in English. A bonus if French/Arabic is also spoken but not essential β’ Required start date- January 2024 β’ Contracting period- 6 months (up to 2 months per report)
