Description

• Allied Talent Partners connects experienced professionals with climate-related projects and businesses in Africa. • The client is an advisory firm that unlocks capital for sustainable growth in underserved markets, focusing on clean energy access and nature-based solutions. • They are seeking Strategy Consultants or Research Analysts to conduct market assessments on clean technology topics across Africa, delivering actionable insights for U.S. companies. • Potential areas include green hydrogen, battery energy storage, biomass, bioenergy, captive power supply opportunities, and gender opportunities in clean tech. • Assessments will focus on key markets such as South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, Ghana, Morocco, and Egypt.

Requirements

• Strong technical knowledge of clean technology topics such as green hydrogen, battery energy storage, biomass, bioenergy, or captive power supply. • Previous experience working in or with a consulting firm. • Proven experience conducting market assessments, particularly in the clean tech, energy, or related sectors. • Ability to analyze market trends, opportunities, challenges, and regulatory landscapes across various African regions. • Strong knowledge of the energy sector – including renewable energy, fossil fuels, power generation, and grid infrastructure, with a proven track record of conducting market assessments and feasibility studies. • Strong understanding of energy policy and regulations – especially within target regions, including knowledge of government incentives, renewable energy targets, and environmental regulations. • Ability to work with different stakeholders, defining effective workflows and setting regular meeting cadences to ensure seamless virtual collaboration. • Strong communication skills to effectively engage and collaborate with senior management. • Strong presentation skills

Benefits

• Location: Remote based is fine with the client. Travel may be required to South Africa. • Operational requirements: Proficient in English. A bonus if French/Arabic is also spoken but not essential • Required start date- January 2024 • Contracting period- 6 months (up to 2 months per report)
