β’ Independently manage and lead a team in management of a project portfolio with project values of $100MM+ β’ Develop full scope project plans for process design and technology scale-up to commercial scale. β’ Define, communicate, and manage project scopes, expectations and deliverables that support Ambercycle business goals in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. β’ Assemble, oversee, take responsibility for, and manage project-related disciplines and associated resources, including: process, electrical/instrumentation, mechanical, safety, civil, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup. β’ Full cycle project management through completion. Oversee a number of scale-up related functions such as concept design, site selection, EPC & vendor partnerships, technology/equipment selection, detailed engineering, procurement & construction, and commissioning. β’ Project management, commissioning, startup, and operations with a focus on risk, regulatory, and environmental operability permits and compliance across Ambercycle facilities as well as with contract CMO facilities at different global locations. β’ Responsible for leading the process safety and hazard analysis in the facility, process safety focal point, PHA/HAZOP, reactive chemicals audits and layers of protection analysis (LOPA). β’ Partner with the executive team, finance, business, and commercial groups to execute a cohesive long-term strategy to enable business success.
β’ B.S. in Engineering required. Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical focus preferred. β’ Minimum 15 years project engineering/project management experience (from concept to start-up). β’ Experience executing large-scale industrial projects involving the manufacturing and processing of chemicals or polymers. β’ Techno-economic analysis, trade-off studies and financial evaluation. β’ Project documentation, planning, risk tracking, and management - across pre-FEED, FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup phases. β’ Must have a strong background in chemicals/polymers projects, contracts development and administration, project controls, and quality management. β’ Experience with process engineering, solids handling, and technology scale-up as well as a commanding knowledge of thermodynamics is a plus. β’ Must have an incredible enthusiasm for building first-in-kind projects, a strong desire to change the world, and passion for solving difficult engineering and project problems. β’ Highly capable to reach a thorough understanding of a situation, finding gaps and opportunities, in order to develop and execute the right strategy to get the required results, while communicating with all levels of the organization. β’ Preference is given to individuals with extensive experience in downstream petrochemical, specialty chemical, polymer, and mineral processing industries. β’ Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, open environment.
β’ Travel to domestic and international company locations and facilities for meetings, training, or information gathering will be required. Must be available to travel up to 40%
