Description

β€’ Perform monthly reconciliations of inventory, ensuring accuracy and completeness. β€’ Perform a variety of month-end close processes, including reviewing material and production variances, and reconciling stock ledger movements to Cost of Goods Sold P&L. β€’ Maintain documentation of internal controls related to Inventory accounting. β€’ Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including supply chain, logistics, and production teams, to streamline workflows and drive continuous improvement in inventory and cost accounting processes. β€’ Strengthen end-to-end inventory processes and reporting. β€’ Analyze inventory for potential excess and obsolete reserves. β€’ Partner with operations teams to understand product costs, variance drivers, and optimize inventory management practices. β€’ Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency and quality. β€’ Drive the use of data analytics tools to identify cost reduction opportunities and improve inventory forecasting accuracy. β€’ Prepare variance analysis and other analytics to ensure complete and accurate financial results. β€’ Support external audit processes, including providing necessary documentation and liaising with auditors as needed.

Requirements

β€’ Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, CPA preferred. β€’ Prior public accounting experience preferred. β€’ Minimum of 3-6 years of progressive experience in inventory accounting or related roles. β€’ Advanced knowledge of US GAAP, inventory valuation methods and cost accounting principles. β€’ Proven leadership skills with experience building, managing and developing a team. β€’ Ability to think strategically and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. β€’ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail. β€’ Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence key stakeholders. β€’ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
