Description

• AMP is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer - Embedded to maintain facility and robot availability. • This role will include active development of AMP's observability stack, supporting hundreds of robotic systems. • Responsibilities include 50% Support and 50% Development in specific stacks like Prometheus, Grafana, and logging stacks with C++ and Rust. • Remote or Hybrid work option available with up to quarterly travel requirements.

Requirements

• Strong technical communication skills for collaborating with the rest of the software team through ticket escalations • Strong interpersonal skills for communicating with individuals experiencing downtime issues that can be overwhelming • Experience troubleshooting Linux systems • Demonstrated experience writing code, preferably in a compiled language, ideally C++ or Rust • Desire to learn and gain experience writing code, including professional software engineering practices like coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations • Desire to make the job easier as you go. The growth of facilities requires this role to become more efficient over time • Proficiency managing task level scoping for yourself under a sprint based or kanban methodology • Passion for green technology and emissions reduction • Real world experience with deployed hardware (Preferred) • Experience with Docker or similar technologies (Preferred) • Experience troubleshooting to minimize mean time to recovery in downtime situations Startup ready mentality (Preferred)
