📋 Description

• You will have the rare opportunity to work with a tight-knit team building the services that power a complex software platform from the ground up. • Think about problems holistically. • You'll know the full story behind the problems we solve, empowering you to make informed decisions based on real world use cases. • Take ownership of the content management system built in React with TypeScript. • Deploy often using GitHub Actions, Docker, and Digital Ocean, and navigate our cloud infrastructure comfortably. • Assist with backend support to fill in the gaps. This can include everything from crucial algorithms, clearer API documentation, and editing existing APIs. • Be a collaborative team member working closely with the UI/UX designer using responsive design and Material UI components. • Always consider the user experience and continually ask yourself and the team how to make it better. • Develop and maintain an analytics tool, with a focus on security, to share relevant information to our end users. • Bring the latest tech trends to the table. • Use AI tooling to super-speed your workflows. • Be flexible in growing and helping to shape ideas. • Be considerate of and respectful to others as they are to you.

🎯 Requirements

• You are confident using React and have worked on several production-level React projects • You have a deep understanding of security principles and web protocols • You have extensive experience developing relational databases, REST APIs, and documenting their usage • You have implemented an analytics system and know how to communicate quantitative data effectively • You have experience using Go or a strongly typed OO language • You think about efficiency, scalability, and stability at every step of development • You enjoy working both independently and with a team • You are capable of taking on R&D projects and sharing out relevant findings • You don't ask yourself if this can be done but how it can be done • You are curious about the world around you and can embrace a challenge • You welcome personal and team growth • You care about quality and have remarkable attention to detail • Bonus points if you love maps and GIS, and you have some experience with PostGIS, Mapbox API, or OpenStreet map data • Your previous work experience includes startups and/or small teams • Your previous work experience includes remote work — and you know how to keep yourself motivated and engaged out of an office environment • You have knowledge of museum and library archive technologies • You have worked with a variety of media like audio, video, images, and real-time geographic coordinates • You are passionate about AI and machine learning
