Description

• The Virtual Financial Aid Disbursements and R2T4 Specialist will be responsible for processing Return to Title IV (R2T4) and disbursing Title IV funds to eligible students. • This person will work closely with a small team of Remote Financial Aid Officers and other personnel. • Gathering and reviewing required student documents. • Processing Federal Student Aid including awarding, packaging, certifying, and verification. • Performing Return of Title IV aid calculations. • Processing Title IV refunds. • Provide exceptional customer service to schools, students, and families. • Determine eligibility requirements, application procedures and deadlines. • Financial counseling to students to explain their financial aid estimates and offers. • Ensure timely and accurate disbursements of Title IV funds.

Requirements

• Experience with financial aid management and student information systems; preferably Fame’s Freedom, Freedom FinAid, Advantage, and Advantage FinAid applications • Associate degree, in a relevant field, such as finance, accounting, or business administration or relevant experience • At least 3 years of experience working in financial aid administration, including packaging awards, and performing drop calculations (institutional refunds and Return to Title IV) • Knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations and requirements • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to interact effectively with schools, students, families, and staff • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
