• About Aspire: the world’s first word-of-mouth commerce platform leveraging brand ambassadors. • The Role: pivotal role in maintaining organization’s financial health, refining accounting operations. • Sales Contract Reviews: Analyze sales contracts for revenue implications, ensuring adherence to policies. • Revenue Recognition: Ensure accurate revenue recognition compliant with ASC 606. • General Ledger Oversight: Manage integrity of general ledger for timely close processes. • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. • Commission Calculations: Review sales commissions ensuring accurate payout to sales staff. • Audit & Compliance: Support audits by providing documentation, preparing schedules, implementing recommendations. • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements for accounting operations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in general ledger accounting (required) • 2+ years of experience in revenue recognition (preferred but not required) • Experience in general ledger management, financial statement preparation, and month-end/year-end close processes • Prior experience in sales contract review for revenue implications (preferred) • Experience with internal or external audits and compliance reporting (preferred) • Proficiency with accounting software (NetSuite preferred) • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g., XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and complex formulas) • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting standards • Familiarity with tax compliance and reporting regulations (preferred) • Willingness to take initiative and drive process improvements in accounting operations
