• Job Title: AI Solutions Engineer (Java Focus) • Location: Remote (UK/EU Preferred) with occasional face-to-face meetings • Commitment: Full-Time (or Flexible Arrangement, Depending on Candidate Preference) • Reporting to: Chief Technology Officer • About Valsoft: Valsoft specializes in acquiring and growing vertical market software companies. In this role, you’ll work end-to-end—from collaborating with product managers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams on defining requirements to employing AI tools that streamline coding, testing, and deployment. • You’ll develop secure, scalable solutions using Java-based frameworks and ensure continuous integration and delivery through modern DevOps practices. • Key Responsibilities: • Requirements Definition & Stakeholder Collaboration • Engage with product managers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to clarify business needs. • Turn those needs into specific technical tasks and development milestones. • AI-Driven Development • Incorporate AI-based productivity tools for rapid prototyping, code generation, and automated testing. • Stay updated on AI best practices and bring innovative solutions to the Java ecosystem. • Java Full-Stack Implementation • Architect and build backend services using Java-based frameworks (Spring Boot, Jakarta EE, etc.). • Optionally leverage modern JavaScript/TypeScript front-end libraries (React, Vue.js, etc.) if applicable. • Ensure code quality, reliability, and performance across all layers. • Database Expertise • Work at least one relational database (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MariaDB) to handle data storage, queries, and optimization. • Embrace best practices for security, scalability, and fault tolerance. • DevOps & Cloud Deployment: Implement CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code. • Leverage cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to deploy solutions in a cost-effective, secure manner. • Technical Leadership & Continuous Improvement: Act as an authority on AI-assisted Java development for teams and stakeholders. • Champion best practices and continuous improvement within the engineering organization. • What We Offer: If you’re excited about bridging AI and modern software engineering—whether on .NET or Java—apply now and shape the future of high-velocity, AI-enabled development.

🎯 Requirements

• Java Proficiency: Expertise in Java frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot), plus exposure to modern front-end technologies is advantageous. • AI/ML Tools Familiarity: Experience using AI-driven development and testing tools. • Database Management: Proven skill in at least one major relational database, with a preference for open-source solutions. • Cloud & DevOps Knowledge: Familiarity with cloud providers, microservices, container orchestration, and DevOps pipelines. • Analytical Mindset: Ability to solve complex, ambiguous problems, quickly iterating on prototypes and final solutions.
