Coding Supervisor - HCC Risk Adjustment

Description
• This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position that is 100% remote. • Applicants hired into this position can work from most states. • Help provide daily supervision of coding staff at UW Health. • Provide ongoing feedback to staff on areas of improvement. • Provide or arrange for necessary knowledge-based resources required by the coding staff to meet quality and production standards. • Prepare staffing schedules to provide adequate coverage for all work queues and surgical services.
Requirements
• Graduate of a Medical Coding Program Required or • Associate's Degree in healthcare related field Required • Two (2) years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree in addition to the required experience below • Graduate of a Health Information Technology program Preferred • 2 years medical coding experience with at least one (1) year in a leadership role Required • 2 years supervisory experience Preferred • Certification as Certified Professional Coder (CPC) Upon Hire Required or • Certified Outpatient Coder (COC) Upon Hire Required or • Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC) Upon Hire Required or • Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) Upon Hire Required or • Certified Coding Specialist Physician Based (CCS-P) Upon Hire Required or • Certified Coding Associate (CCA) Upon Hire Required • Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) Preferred • Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) Preferred
