Description

• Work closely with Aura’s manufacturing team in both the US and China to track inventory and product cost. • Evolve and manage Aura’s inventory management reporting including inventory aging, stock reports, component purchase tracking and costing, and other data. • Reconcile inventory accounts, POs, receipts, fulfillment, transfers on a regular basis. • Work as the primary communication liaison between Aura’s US and China-based teams. • Period close tasks related to your assigned areas of responsibility; analyses, journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations; including variance analyses and explanations. • Track production purchases and product cost, make corresponding entries, and produce related analysis. • Assist and support operations by entering inventory management and supply chain transactions and adjustments in NetSuite (POs, Bill of Materials/product costing, goods receipts, fulfillment, transfers, etc.). • Help with the implementation of processes and controls to improve and scale the accounting function and safeguard assets. • Provide accounting assistance and support on the implementation of accounting policies. • Create and record intercompany invoices and reconcile intercompany transactions. • Participate in weekly evening and/or early morning calls with colleagues in China – schedule flexibility to accommodate this is a requirement. • Assist with audit, bank, and other third party requests. • Work on various other projects. • Be able to travel internationally 1-2 times per year.

Requirements

• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in e-commerce or consumer goods, including concentrated experience working on inventory accounting for a Chinese manufacturing operation. • NetSuite experience preferred – similar ERP acceptable. • Strong data management and data analysis skills, with Excel and BI tools / databases. • Preference for dynamic, high-growth environments. • A positive, solutions-oriented attitude. • Undergrad or masters-level accounting degree.
