Description

• Research, design, develop, and own solutions for the Agent application that runs globally. • Championing software development best practices and writing well-designed code. • Extend, enhance, and evolve our endpoint software to deliver new features. • Own the team’s initiatives from inception to delivery. • Act as a subject matter expert over the technical direction of the Automox Agent. • Work with engineering leadership to drive incremental delivery of new agent capabilities. • Collaborate with other engineering leaders to align goals with the broader organization’s goals. • Contribute to continual improvement through testing, performance tuning, and automation. • Produce detailed specifications and contribute in all phases of the engineering lifecycle. • Operate with a quality-first mindset and make data-driven decisions.

Requirements

• Experience working as a Software Engineer developing features on an Agent/IoT application is required. • 10+ years of experience designing, developing, testing, monitoring, and maintaining cloud-connected client-side applications. • Programming experience in Golang is preferred. • Some familiarity with systems programming, networking, virtual machine orchestration, DevOps, and shell-scripting languages (Bash/Powershell) • Windows and/or Linux and/or MacOS application development experience. • Passion for mentoring and developing a team of diverse engineers, ensuring an inclusive culture where everyone’s voices, backgrounds, and experiences are valued and integrated into solutions. • Demonstrated history of delivering enterprise-level software in an agile environment • Experience and comfort working with a remote team across multiple time zones. • Effective communication with leadership and engineers regarding planning, reporting, status and/or conflict/blocker mitigation. • Promoter of transparency, visibility, and documentation across the team. • Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal, sufficient for success in a remote and largely asynchronous work environment.
