Description

• Report to and work closely with the SVP, Global Head of Commercial, CLM, Intellectual Property and Privacy. • Oversee and shape Avantor’s intellectual property and data privacy strategies and initiatives worldwide. • Structure, review and negotiate complex commercial transactions involving Avantor’s global strategic partners. • Direct and plan vision for Avantor’s existing and potential intellectual property portfolio worldwide. • Provide strategic guidance and counsel on IP-related matters. • Monitor for unauthorized use of IP and manage infringement cases. • Perform global privacy assessments of new and existing business processes. • Work closely with Legal, HR and information security teams to improve contracting processes and procedures related to data protection and security.

Requirements

• 15+ years of significant experience in structuring and negotiating complex commercial agreements, • Proven track record of excellence in counseling and advising senior management and business leaders on Intellectual Property and Privacy issues. • A highly collaborative team player capable of developing and maintaining strong, trusted relationships throughout the organization. • Intellectual curiosity about changing business priorities and circumstances, • Impeccable integrity and ethical behavior with a strong commitment to transparency. • An excellent listener with high sensitivity to different cultures and backgrounds. • Sound judgment and a strong moral compass. • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
