Description
• Responsible for managing a team of underwriting analysts. • Support the underwriting process, ensuring accuracy and integrity of submission data. • Collaborate with agents and senior underwriters, participate in underwriting audits, and contribute to the development of guidelines and strategies. • Supervise and mentor underwriting analysts, enhancing skills and professional growth. • Implement procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Business • Minimum of 5 years of underwriting commercial property or casualty business, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. • Strong understanding of underwriting principles, practices, and guidelines. • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills, with a keen attention to detail. • Proven ability to manage and mentor a team, fostering a positive and productive work environment. • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal teams and external agents. • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. • Proficiency in underwriting software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
