• The System Administrator at BAO Systems will be responsible for managing our a majority Linux-based systems, VM infrastructure, and DevOps processes. • Administer, configure, and maintain Linux servers to ensure system stability, performance and security. • Manage AWS and/or private cloud infrastructure, including provisioning, monitoring, and scaling resources as needed. • Implement and maintain DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Ansible. • Perform regular security scans and assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and implement appropriate security measures to safeguard systems and data. • Manage and support the EKS, k8s, and related technologyes. • Automate routine tasks using scripting languages such as Bash & Python. • Monitor system health and performance using monitoring tools and respond to incidents and outages effectively. • Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to improve system reliability and implement best practices. • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and security practices. • Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • 3 years of relevant work experience. • Proven experience as a System Administrator with expertise in Linux environments. • Experience with AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, and VPC. • Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD, automation, and infrastructure as code. • Experience with security practices, including vulnerability scanning, patch management, and incident response. • Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Bash, Python). • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. • Certification in AWS, Linux, or Security. • Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker.
