• Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust database solutions • Collaboration with developers, system administrators, and other IT professionals • Create and modify database objects, including tables, views, functions, and stored procedures. • Design and deliver solutions for data pipelines, data integration, data transformation, analytics, reporting and modeling in a cloud environment. • Load data in various formats from various providers into Data Bases on Azure. • Assembling large, complex sets of data • Experience in end-to-end Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) projects. • Implement and maintain regular database backups. • Develop and test disaster recovery plans. • Monitor database performance and identify bottlenecks • Manage user access and permissions, ensuring data confidentiality. • Perform routine database maintenance tasks, such as index optimization and data purging. • Maintain documentation of database configurations, processes, procedures, & schema diagrams.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology • 7+ years of experience as a Database Professional • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products including Visio • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including various versions such as SQL Server and Azure SQL Database. • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services related to SQL databases, such as Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, Data Bricks, Azure Blob Storage. • Highly skilled in SQL, relational databases, Azure Data Factory • Understanding of database design principles, normalization, denormalization, and SQL Query Plan Optimization. • Knowledge of database backup and recovery strategies, with Transparent Data Encryption (TDE), including Azure-based solutions. • Experience in BI tools such as Qlik and Power BI. • Experience engineering, implementing, and supporting data solutions in Azure. • Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies. • Experience with building CI/CD pipelines on Azure DevOps. • 12+ years of related work experience. • Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure Database Administrator Associate, or equivalent certification(s). • Experience in the insurance industry and/or basic knowledge of insurance.
