📋 Description

• Lead the Solutions Engineering team • Provide direct customer support • Manage new product introduction and advanced system integration • Support regression testing into deployed platforms • Work with Sales Team to understand customer needs • Provide network and optical engineering advice to customers • Lead field service support for Belden products

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer, Electrical, or Telecommunications Engineering • Minimum 10 years experience as a field application engineer, network engineer, or related role • Minimum 5 years experience in a relevant leadership role • Minimum 10 years experience working with internet service providers, wireless providers, and/or data center operators • Experience with major vendors in optical routing, switching, and/or transport networking gear required • Experience with network physical layer technologies like fiber optics, copper cabling, and coax cabling • Strong decision making and creative problem-solving abilities • Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources and reconcile conflicts • Deep understanding of layer 1-2 optical networking protocols such as Ethernet, OTN, Fibre Channel, CPRI, WDM, and PON. • Deep understanding of network architectures deployed in optical transport networks, broadband access networks, data centers, and local area networks. • Proficiency with optical test gear such as OSA, BER Test Sets, VOAs, and Power Meters.
