Using evidence-based knowledge and technology, Bixal empowers clients to deliver on their missions more effectively by fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement. • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal UI Designer with a strong focus on design systems and understanding of USWDS. • Location: This role can work remotely from anywhere in the USA. You must be legally authorized to work in the US. Bixal does not provide visa sponsorship. • As a Principal UI Designer, you will be subject matter expert responsible for leading the development and implementation of our design strategy, as well as providing design leadership and guidance to the UI design team. You will work closely with clients and stakeholders to ensure that our design solutions meet their needs and align with their brand and visual identity guidelines. • This is a call for resumes as we are screening candidates for an upcoming opportunity to support one of our most esteemed federal clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in UI design, graphic design, human-computer interaction, or a related field. • 8+ years of experience in UI design preferably in a federal consulting or government environment. • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, inspire, and guide a team of designers to deliver high-quality work. • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite. • Understanding of HTML/CSS and the ability to collaborate effectively with developers. • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze user needs and translate them into design solutions. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and build relationships with clients and stakeholders. • Ability to pass and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
