Description

• Blue Tiger is looking for a full-time Software Engineer to join our talented team of technologists. • You will work with federal government employees, designers, and technologists to design and create digital content for public use and benefit. • Improve clinical outcomes for Veterans by building applications on the VA's Clinical Decision Support (CDS) platform and integrate with varying electronic health record (EHR) systems. • Be a key part of our small, but rapidly growing team of civic technologists excited about making an impact on how government serves the public through technology.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience working as a full-stack software engineer on products with significant data requirements • Experience using various standards, languages, frameworks, techniques, and libraries such as HTML5, CSS3/Sass, Responsive Design, Python and related frameworks • Proficiency and familiarity with cloud technologies and solutions • Proficient in database design, implementation, and management. • In-depth knowledge of how to deliver application architectures and code that are highly scalable, available, and performant • Expertise using version control systems such as GitHub • Ability to author developer-friendly documentation such as API documentation and deployment operations • Proven ability to apply good software engineering principles and practices • Ability to select and use the best tools for the job, particularly open-source solutions • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences • Experience working within a scrum/agile development methodology and environment
