β€’ Blue Tiger is looking for a full-time Software Engineer to join our talented team of technologists. β€’ You will work with federal government employees, designers, and technologists to design and create digital content for public use and benefit. β€’ As a Full-Stack Software Engineer, you will work closely with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to transform the Medicaid Drug Program (MDP) product suite. β€’ The MDP product suite helps ensure that individuals with low-income and children in need of healthcare insurance receive affordable access to medication. β€’ The product suite provides federal and state governments with critical data to negotiate better drug prices and provide transparency in drug costs to the public. β€’ Blue Tiger is a people-first, design-forward digital consultancy that designs organizations, builds software, and crafts experiences for the American people.

Requirements

β€’ At least five years of experience working as a full-stack software engineer on products with significant data requirements β€’ Experience using various standards, languages, frameworks, techniques, and libraries such as HTML5, CSS3/Sass, Responsive Design, Node, React, Angular, Java SpringBoot, PostGreSQL β€’ Proficiency and familiarity with AWS technologies and solutions, such as Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, Cloudformation, etc; also core AWS concepts such as IAM permissions and security group rules. β€’ Proficient in database design, implementation, and management. β€’ In-depth knowledge of how to deliver application architectures and code that are highly scalable, available, and performant β€’ Expertise using version control systems such as GitHub β€’ Ability to author developer-friendly documentation such as API documentation and deployment operations β€’ Proven ability to apply good software engineering principles and practices β€’ Ability to select and use the best tools for the job, particularly open-source solutions β€’ Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences β€’ Experience working within a scrum/agile development methodology and environment
