• Collaborate with the Product Team to understand the vision and strategy, and help develop the product roadmap. • Communicate strategic context and priorities to delivery teams. • Ensure continuous delivery of value by removing roadblocks and supporting development teams. • Be accountable for software quality, reliability, and performance. • Focus on individual development by setting clear expectations, enabling responsibility, and fostering accountability. • Conduct regular 1:1s and check-ins, contributing to a culture of continuous feedback. • Grow and develop the team by identifying learning opportunities and promoting collective growth. • Contribute to lean software development practices through hands-on coaching and training. • Lead technical initiatives, including architecture and design reviews, with leaders and individual contributors. • Collaborate with People Operations on recruitment strategies, interviewing, and hiring developers. • Develop and implement onboarding programs to maximize new hire effectiveness. • Communicate key changes and concepts across the Engineering Team. • Oversee and manage the team's on-call rotations, ensuring long-term solutions for production incidents. • Carry out additional management and leadership duties as assigned by the VP, Engineering Technology.
• Experienced developers, architects, or software engineers with a background in team management and leadership. • A leader unafraid to provide feedback, speak up, and hold teams accountable. • Proven track record of building and growing teams through continuous recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training. • E-commerce experience, especially with checkout products (preferred but not required). • Expertise in continuous delivery, agile processes, SDLC, Kanban, and fostering collaborative cultures and teams. • Experience with, or interest in, PHP, Laravel, Go, JavaScript, and React. • 5+ years as a technical leader, manager, or advisor. • Skilled in coaching developers through code reviews and pair programming.
