Description
• Backend Engineer role • Implement systems of reusable services • Envision and implement crawlers/API-clients • Architect efficient and reusable backend systems • Collaborate with Product Designers and Software Engineers • Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues • Plan and coordinate data modeling & feature releases • Mentor junior Backend Engineers
Requirements
• BS/MS/Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related technical field. • 5+ years experience envisioning and implementing complex, high-availability, high through-put backend systems • 2+ years experience writing serverless applications • Python experience, including async programming, meta-programming, types, scientific python • Deep Expertise in major web frameworks such as Flask, Django, aioHTTP, Pyramid, FastAPI • Experience with building scalable APIs, optimizing complex SQL queries • Experience with E2E testing • Demonstrated ability in cloud-native technologies • A growth mindset, ability to balance engineering objectives • Highly collaborative with strong communication skills • Enjoy writing documentation
