Description

• Work directly with members 1:1 to guide them through financial planning topics, give clear, actionable takeaways in each discussion, and help ensure they make progress towards financial confidence and wellness • Common topics include but are not limited to: money management, savings, debt paydown, student loans, retirement planning, investing, buying a house, self employment, combining finances, starting a family, equity compensation, saving for college (the list goes on!) • Leverage your experience, knowledge, and service orientation to engage effectively with members, responding to questions, gaining an understanding of their unique circumstances, building relationships, providing tailored guidance, and leading them toward positive financial outcomes and increased financial understanding • Interface directly with Product, Operations, Strategy, and Banking team leads, lending your expertise and collaboratively working to create a best-in-class member experience framework • Assist in crafting helpful member-facing content • What you won’t have to worry about: being your own compliance officer, hunting down new clients, managing investment portfolios, misaligned incentives (like commissions), selling any products, or managing a tech stack on your own. Just show up and do what you do best - help people with their money!

Requirements

• 3+ years in a customer-focused financial advisory role with demonstrated ability to make measurable positive impact on customers • Certified Financial Planner designation or equivalent certification • Detailed understanding of all elements of personal finance including cash flow management, investment and retirement planning, tax advisory, insurance strategy, estate planning, and debt management • A strong purpose-driven service orientation and a desire to help others • Empathy and an ability to navigate potentially emotionally fraught conversations in a constructive, non-judgmental way • Off the charts verbal and written communication abilities • Incredible organization skills • Independent problem solver that actively identifies areas of opportunity and/or need • Desire to join a fast-moving, early-stage, mission-driven company
