ā¢ As a Telephony Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our voice platform to ensure the smooth delivery of high-quality customer interactions. ā¢ Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of our VoIP infrastructure. ā¢ Your ability to identify and troubleshoot problems is vital. ā¢ Identifying and resolving issues related to voice quality, connectivity, and other VoIP-related problems. ā¢ Knowledge in the use of SIP Proxy and Registrar (Kamailio) and Media Server (Freeswitch). ā¢ Help roll out milestone releases. ā¢ Improve scalability, service reliability, capacity, and performance. ā¢ Contribute to monitoring, alerting, and tracking of the platform. ā¢ Consistently share knowledge about the changes made to the platform with the Support and NOC teams.
ā¢ Higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunications or similar. ā¢ Proven experience supporting and troubleshooting UCaaS/CCaaS systems, including VoIP. ā¢ Expertise in VoIP related protocols (SIP, SDP, RTP). ā¢ Experience with signaling analysis tools (e.g. Wireshark, sngrep, Homer). ā¢ Knowledge of scripting and automation tools. ā¢ Ability to multi-task and efficiently manage competing priorities. ā¢ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. ā¢ Experience with Observability, Monitoring, Performance or Availability tools or services, preferably in the infrastructure monitoring area.
