Description

• Responsible for performing a variety of general accounting functions for BSMH • Maintains general ledger accounts in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and BSMH policy and researches exceptions • Creates and uploads monthly journal entries • Prepares assigned monthly journal entries and schedules in preparation for monthly closing • Prepares monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts • Reconciles assigned system interfaces to general ledger posting for all assigned areas • Prepares data necessary to prepare the monthly financial statements • Prepares month-end reports for distribution to all internal and external parties • Provides financial reports, support documentation, and assistance in understanding financial operations • Compiles monthly statistical information • Prepares schedules for the annual audit • Reviews and interfaces with GL expense information

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or comparable discipline (required) • 1 year of experience in a general accounting function (preferred) • Financial Reporting • Microsoft Office • Decision Making • GAAP policy, process knowledge • Analyzing Data or Information • Financial analysis • Collaboration • Organization • Prioritization • Critical thinking
