📋 Description

• The Project Accountant is responsible for managing the financial aspects of construction management services projects • Develop and maintain detailed project budgets, tracking expenditures against budgets • Prepare and submit accurate and timely invoices, including presenting necessary backup documentation, and ensure invoices meet client specifications • Assist with the preparation of change of task orders, contract modifications, and other project-related financial documents • Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure timely sub-invoice submission and updated financial documentation • Maintain thorough documentation of all project financial transactions • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws and regulations • Provide support for audits and other financial reviews as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Position requires an Associate's Degree in accounting or a related discipline • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience or 5 years of relevant working knowledge • General knowledge in project accounting, with a preference for candidates with experience in California Prevailing Wages • Proficient in the use of spreadsheets, Adobe Acrobat, and other financial management tools • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines • California Prevailing Wages understanding a plus • Experience with handling DOT contracts a plus
