Description

• Perform daily system monitoring • Perform ongoing performance tuning, infrastructure upgrades, and resource optimization • Provision and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. • Research, develop, and implement innovative and automated approaches for system administration tasks • Provide Tier II support for incidents and requests • Maintain and contribute to knowledge base and documentation • Influence broader technology groups in adopting Cloud technologies • Creative thinking and proposing solutions to grow our business

Requirements

• BS (or equivalent work experience) in Computer Science, MIS, or related degree • 2+ years of Linux systems administration and configuration experience • Strong scripting skills – Python / Bash preferred • 1+ years of AWS experience (EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, IAM and CloudWatch) • Experience with monitoring and alerting solutions • Experience with DNS and web server configurations • Knowledge of automating infrastructure builds utilizing tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Cloud formation • Knowledge of containers and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes • Knowledge of CI / CD pipelines and Agile methodologies • Highly motivated, Innovative, self-directed thinker • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment
