📋 Description
• Manage the full-cycle accounting function for a number of organizations, working closely with them to meet their business needs • Accurately record and reconcile complex financial transactions, prepare and process payroll, and monitor and review other transaction streams • Lead the accounting team in month end and year end closing processes • Prepare and review financial statements, assist in the set up of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and practice standards • Solve accounting puzzles by researching and reconciling discrepancies and ensuring that the accounting is in good order • Competently use software to provide virtual services such as QBO, Sage 50, HubDoc, Plooto, Receipt Bank and Excel • Provide guidance and training to the junior accounting staff • Build strong, trusted relationships with clients to understand their unique accounting requirements and ensure their needs are met
🎯 Requirements
• A degree or a 3-year diploma in Accounting • 3+ years accounting experience in a range of small and mid-sized organizations • A degree of comfort using multiple accounting packages, and the ability to learn new ones • Highly skilled in QBO • Exposure to Dext and Plooto is a major asset • Experience in training and mentoring staff • Driven to do things right, do them well, and work to solve problems positively • Strong organizational abilities, high ethical standards, and collaborative nature • Desire to help the team and clients succeed • Enthusiasm for what you do and the desire to help organizations be more efficient
