Description

• The Project Coordinator is accountable for tracking project goals and setting measures to track success via key performance indicators and milestones for the Engineering function. • Key aspects of project management are to ensure the project remains on time and on budget while team members and the impacted stakeholders remain motivated to hit their goals. • This role is focused on ensuring that orders are efficiently managed in a timely manner relative to project requirements and customer expectations, including, but is not limited to, action plans, resource allocation, timelines, and budgets. • Support and organize projects across all aspects of the project life cycle (planning, scope definition, CER development, design, tracking and delivery). • Tracking milestone progress, budgetary guidelines, or other performance indicators and preparing status reports for leadership. • Collaborating with key business partners and communications to create change management plans supporting successful improvement implementation. • Supporting process excellence by identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous process improvement as metrics warrant. • Assisting with the selection, negotiations, and managing of all activities regarding external consultants or vendors related to engineering team projects. • Monitor and analyze Engineering team KPIs such that organizational objectives are met. • Gathering information from Engineering leaders to prepare budgetary, estimated and detailed quotes; issuing confirming approval documents to customers in a manner consistent with project timelines. • Managing the logistics affecting project business including but not limited to (1) scheduling the delivery of materials (2) assisting the HarbisonWalker International Supply Chain Department with rate management and negotiation.

Requirements

• Requires associate’s degree in related field. • The Engineering Project Coordinator requires one (1) to three (3) years of experience managing cross-functional projects, preferably in a multinational company. Experience driving change initiatives and implementing best practices is essential. • Ability to impact organizational effectiveness and excel on high performing teams capable of delivering strategic results. • Requires excellent organization skills with accurate and precise attention to detail. • Requires computer operation skills including, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Oracle, & CPQ. • Requires the ability to drive solutions to assigned tasks utilizing a proactive approach to problem solving. • Excellent collaboration, communication, and facilitation skills. • Strong strategic thinking and business problem solving skills. • Strong relationship building and change management skills. • Project management professional certification or equivalent preferred. • Project or equivalent change management certification preferred. • Lean six Sigma Greenbelt or equivalent preferred.
