Description

• Research incoming documents related to utilization management, case management, disease management, and appeals. • Manage workload by prioritizing tasks and ensure compliance with HIPAA and privacy laws. • Handle a high volume of inquiries daily while adhering to standards for quality and timeliness. • Support Performance Guarantees by providing coverage for urgent appeals on long weekends. • Perform basic administrative tasks, such as managing inventory and mailing correspondence. • Ensure workflows are efficient and departmental operations run smoothly.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED • General office experience plus 1 year of experience in Regence Customer Service or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Solid communication and writing skills, as well as general computer knowledge. • Organized, able to enter data accurately, and have some administrative skills. • Basic understanding of medical terminology and healthcare benefits/systems. • Ability to review clinical documents and forward them to the right people for resolution. • Critical thinking and attention to detail. • Adapt quickly to new information and processes. • Work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. • Team player who can work collaboratively with others to achieve operational standards.
