📋 Description

• Seek a highly skilled IT Systems Engineer with Linux Administration and BCP experience. • Manage and optimize Linux-based infrastructure, ensuring data protection and business continuity. • Responsible for configuring and troubleshooting Linux-based servers, with automation where appropriate. • Lead backup administrator, managing and optimizing Rubrik environment. • Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems, focusing on performance and security. • Monitor system health, troubleshoot performance issues, and implement optimizations. • Implement security best practices, including user management and software patching. • Create and maintain shell scripts or automation tools for system management tasks. • Configure networking services and troubleshoot related issues. • Analyze system logs to proactively resolve issues, ensuring stability. • Provide troubleshooting support for application and networking issues. • Maintain documentation of system configurations and troubleshooting steps. • Collaborate with IT teams for smooth operations and issue resolution. • Develop and test backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity. • Optimize backup processes and monitor health and performance metrics.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). • 3+ years of experience as a Linux Administrator, with a focus on backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity. • Extensive experience with Linux distributions (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Oracle Linux), including system setup, configuration, patching, and troubleshooting. • Experience in securing Linux systems and backups, including encryption and access controls. • Experience with Rubrik backup solutions, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of Rubrik appliances and software. • Experience with formal DR/BCP practices and process development, with a focus on IT processes, process updates, and testing. • Familiarity with cloud-based backup solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure) and integration with Rubrik or other backup platforms. • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, particularly related to backup failures, data restoration issues, and Linux server outages.
