• Delivery of high-quality content for medical affairs clients in the field of rare diseases • With the support of the editorial lead, providing clients with a high level of scientific and strategic expertise on medical communications projects, including advisory boards and other events, slide sets, congress booth materials and digital resources • Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of client products and strategy, as well as the wider therapy area • Review of content developed by other team members to ensure alignment with strategy, a cohesive narrative and scientific accuracy • Establishing and building positive long-term relationships with client teams and medical experts • Building collaborative partnerships across internal teams
• A strong academic background in the life sciences • Previous experience as a medical writer at a healthcare communications agency and on a medical affairs account • A strategic mind with a desire to contribute to discussions with clients on brand plans and fresh approaches with support of the team • Excellent storytelling abilities – a creative thinker who enjoys finding new ways to communicate client data • Experience reviewing the work of more junior editorial team members • Confidence in verbal communication and the ability to keep calm under pressure • Excellent editorial review skills, with the ability to provide constructive and encouraging feedback to team members on their work • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills (able to work on several projects in parallel, with range of deadlines to consider) • Scientific curiosity and a desire to be a subject matter expert
