Description

• Temporary contract role 6-to-9-month assignment with possibility of extension. • Position reports to Payroll Manager (HR Department) but will work closely with the Accounting team during payroll review, post-payroll processing, and month/quarter end close. • Prepare semi-monthly payroll for CA and multi-state employee in compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws. • Review and approve timesheets for hourly, non-exempt CA based employees • Prepare adhoc estimates and calculate final paychecks for terminations • Prepare payroll related journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations for month/quarter end close • Support equity award administration • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or high school diploma / GED with at least 8 years of relevant work experience • Requires 5 years of progressive experience in payroll and accounting – candidate should have a depth and/or breadth of expertise with payroll and accounting systems; ADP Workforce Now experience required • Experience processing equity compensation such as ISO, ESPP, RSU • Excellent organizational, prioritization and planning skills in a fast-paced team-oriented environment • Ability to work independently on multiple projects internally and with external vendors • Possess a sense of urgency; identify challenges and problems and take the initiative to identify solutions
