Description

• Catchafire is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to enhance our finance team. • Be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting. • Lead monthly close activities and work closely with the Director of Finance to ensure compliance. • Identify and improve processes across the Finance team and provide operational support across the company.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A master’s degree or CPA preferred • 3-5 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or a relevant field. • In-depth knowledge of financial statement preparation, journal entries, month-end close, and general ledger accounting. • Experience filing federal/state corporate tax returns, required • Experience with financial software (QBO, Bill.com, Rillet, Brex, or equivalent) preferred. • 501(c)(3) accounting experience is a plus • Advanced proficiency in Excel • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards. • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. • Ability to review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures • Strong verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
