📋 Description

• Reading the original document (Source file) and translating it to traditional Chinese • Editing translated versions (Quality Review check, Proof reading, Editing) • Being sensitive to the culture of the original languages and the target languages during the translation process • Other duties as assigned.

🎯 Requirements

• Fluency in both the source and target languages, with strong reading, writing skills (eg English to Traditional Chinese) • Bachelor’s degree in translation, Linguistics, a related field or equivalent experience. • Certification from a recognized translation organization (ATA,NAATI. preferred) • 5+years of professional translation experience / academic work/ work experience • Familiarity with translation tools (eg CAT tools- MemoQ,Trados or smart cart) • Understanding of industry-specific terminology (eg. Legal, medical, technical, state and local government, financial translations) • Ability to maintain accuracy, context and meaning while adapting cultural nuances • Must be fluent in one or more of the following languages: Traditional Chinese • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment • The ability to facilitate translation with discretion and impartiality. • Proficiency in written communication • A wide breadth of knowledge in a variety of topics • Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe toolsets, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc. • Translation platform (MemoQ, Trados etc) • Highly motivated with the ability to handle and manage multiple tasks at any one time.
