Description

• The CDC Foundation helps CDC save lives by collaborating across sectors. • The Software Engineer will develop and maintain software for public health associations. • The role focuses on advancing public health agency information systems. • Ideal candidates will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physical Science, Business Administration, or related discipline. • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience. • Experience with web application development including versioning and revision control practices. • Languages such as PHP, JavaScript, Python. • Experience with software development frameworks and libraries (e.g., Laravel, Node.js). • Experience with AWS tools and DevOps functions. • Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., SQL,) and version control tools (e.g., Git). • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. • Experience with agile development methodologies, software design patterns, and best practices. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Benefits

• Salary Range: $103,500-$143,500 per year, plus benefits. • Availability for meetings between 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Eastern Time with flexibility dependent on employee location. • Grant funded, limited-term opportunity • Remote work arrangement for U.S. based candidates.
