• Open Source has taken over the world of software development; however, the largest trade-off still persists: security. • Companies spend an enormous amount of time and resources patching and fortifying open source software in order to ship with confidence & compliance. • Founded by the industry's leading experts on open source software, security and cloud native development, Chainguard has built the largest library of open source software that is secure by default. • Customers including Snowflake, Canva, and HPE rely on Chainguard to build securely with open source software across the organization. • Chainguard is the safe source for open source. • We are looking for a Director of Sales to join our rapidly growing team and build out a team of Enterprise Account Executives. This person will be responsible for breaking into the APJ region as our first salesperson.
Requirements
• 6+ years experience selling a technical product; open source, DevOps or security experience preferred • 3+ years experience successfully managing high performing software sales teams • Experience working with the CSP marketplaces • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding performance objectives (revenue targets, pipeline targets, etc.) • Experience selling to Fortune500 and a willingness to roll up your sleeves • Existing Enterprise customer relationships in APJ • Experience using CRM and marketing automation systems • Ability to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity and creativity to changing needs and situations; ability to handle a fast-paced environment and challenging workload • Strong relationship building and negotiation skills • Experience going through a growth or hyper-growth stage • Ability to travel as needed
