Description

• We build tools used by thousands of development teams. • We want someone to work on platform APIs and improve system design. • You’ll also have the opportunity to collaborate across the stack. • This is the perfect job for someone who is willing to investigate complex problems and devise solutions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of real-world experience building backend systems for web applications. • 5+ years of experience writing production APIs (bonus points for GraphQL). • Experience using Typescript & Node.JS (It’s a plus if you have experience with other languages and Backend frameworks, too) • Experience with database technologies, such as Postgres, MongoDB, and Redis (bonus points for experience with sharding and replication strategies). • Excellent technical communication skills and enthusiasm for writing things down. • Enthusiastic about testing and experience using test-driven development. • Prefers simple solutions and designs over complex ones and has a good intuition for what will last and scale. • Bonus: Hands-on experience with GraphQL performance monitoring and optimization tools (e.g., Apollo Studio, Dataloader). • Bonus: Experience with Visual Regression Testing and developing components in isolation before (e.g., used Storybook, etc.).
