📋 Description
• Ciena's Blue Planet Advanced Technical Support • L3 support for major European customer • Assist customer use of Blue Planet BPI product • Handle customer tickets for BPI product • Provide technical support and hands-on product evaluation • Interact with customer daily to resolve issues • Raise issues with Engineering as required • Provide workarounds to minimize customer dissatisfaction • Document takeaways for internal process improvement
🎯 Requirements
• Strong software background • Good breadth of knowledge • Sense of urgency to resolve customer issues • Curiosity about learning various applications • Experience in writing shell scripts in Linux • Strong analytical and problem resolution skills • Good automation skills for collecting required information • Strong written and oral communication skills • Strong Linux skills with some scripting • Strong network troubleshooting experience • Knowledge of OSS/BSS/Network Management solutions • Languages: JAVA, Python, Shell Scripting • Database(s): PostgreSQL, Neo4j, MySQL • Experience in database queries is an advantage • Knowledge of SNMP, Syslog, ICMP, SSH recommended • Hands-on experience on RESTful APIs • Experience and understanding of Kafka messaging bus • Experience using monitoring tools like Nagios, Grafana, Prometheus, and Kibana • Deployment environment: Kubernetes, Docker, microservices • Experience on Talos Kubernetes is an advantage • Deployment experience in cloud-based environment AWS/Azure/GCP/OpenShift is an advantage • Experience with CI/CD pipeline – Jenkins is an advantage • Source Control (svn, GitHub) and Ticketing systems (JIRA, Salesforce)
