β’ Architect networking components that are simple, scalable, and highly available. β’ Translate high-level directives into actionable steps. β’ Triage complex network regressions and improve system debug ability. β’ Collaborate on pivotal network functions such as L2/L3 data-plane and management, UDLD, LACP, Storm Control, VLAN, STP, LAG, QoS, and routing protocols.
β’ Proficiency in C and C++. β’ Proven experience in a production software engineering environment. β’ A focused, organized approach to development, testing, and quality. β’ Experience with TDD (Test driven development). β’ Expertise in Networking Fundamentals and understanding of network basics. β’ Experience developing and troubleshooting in a Linux environment. β’ Understanding of OS fundamentals and working in both kernel and user-space. β’ Experience working with and writing concurrent programs. β’ Experience with application hosting environments and containerization (Docker, LXC). β’ Experience with IPC/RPC communication mechanisms.
