Description

• The Controller is a key leader for Clarke who reports to the CFO • Manages the accounting and general ledger of Clarke • Prepares financial statements and tax reporting and manages internal and external audits • Administers the financial policies in compliance with funder requirements • Successfully manages multiple priorities with competing timelines

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field • Prior experience in a nonprofit accounting • CPA and knowledge of nonprofit GAAP accounting • Knowledge of federal and state grants and federal CFR • Ethical conduct and passion and alignment with the organization’s mission • Excellence in administering accounting applications including the ability to troubleshoot reports, Blackbaud products preferred • Excellent Microsoft Office skills including excellent Excel skills • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment • Team player • Ability to exercise a high degree of diplomacy and tact with cultural sensitivity and ability to work with diverse groups of people
