📋 Description

• We are looking to fill one full-time professor position to support our degree programs. • The role holder will have expertise in the fields of AI, Data Science or Machine Learning while additional experience or interest in the field sustainability or entrepreneurship will be considered a plus. • We are looking for candidates who have expertise in fostering responsible innovation and inspiring future leaders through their teaching and research. • In this role, you will also be expected to take on program director responsibilities for our BSc in AI & Sustainable Technologies programme which consists of owning the programme syllabus as well as overseeing the success and satisfaction of the learners. • You will also become part of the founding academic team, taking initiatives to create and carry out your own projects from day one.

🎯 Requirements

• A learner-centric attitude, first and foremost. • Proven experience in creating and conducting courses in English in the relevant fields, with experience in both asynchronous content creation and strength in live delivery facilitation. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders but especially learners and alumni. • Creative and entrepreneurial problem-solver interested to join a startup and have their own impact. • Experience in a start-up environment and in multi-project management is desirable. • Demonstrated ability to take radical responsibility and thrive in a dynamic startup environment, with a proactive curious mindset, resilience in the face of ambiguity, and courage to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth and innovation. • Completed relevant university studies (in the fields of Computer Science, Data, Physics, Engineering etc) • Fulfilment of the minimum requirements for the employment of professors according to §68 HHG (Hessian Higher Education Act) • Successfully completed doctorate (Ph.D.) in the field of Data, Machine Learning or AI or a relevant field • Qualified professional experience of at least five years (after completion of the master’s degree, ideally after completion of the Ph.D.), three of which must have been gained outside of academic institutions
