📋 Description

•Ready to be pushed beyond what you think you’re capable of? •At Coinbase, our mission is to increase economic freedom in the world. •To achieve our mission, we’re seeking a very specific candidate. •We want someone who is passionate about our mission and who believes in the power of crypto and blockchain technology. •This position will report to our Director and Associate General Counsel, Consumer and Commercial Litigation, who is based in California. •Manage fast-paced docket of commercial litigation and internal counseling for Coinbase across a range of practice areas. •Develop, execute, and continuously assess Coinbase’s world-wide litigation strategy and tactics. •Join team who receives, tracks, investigates, prepares evidentiary presentations, attempts to settle, and, where necessary, litigates disputes brought by or against Coinbase. •Draft and file pleadings and briefs as needed. •Engage and manage outside counsel to effectively and efficiently represent Coinbase. •Work collegially and supportively with other members of legal team.

🎯 Requirements

•At least eight years of litigation experience, including courtroom experience. •Experience managing and successfully resolving commercial litigation. •Experience litigating matters involving digital assets and financial services firms. •Experience working with financial services and institutional clients. •Strong negotiation, writing, and communication skills. •Excellent judgment, analytical rigor, clear communication, and business pragmatism. •Team player essential -- willing to tackle tasks large or small. •Ability to learn new areas of the law quickly and well. •Organized and detailed oriented. •Basic understanding of litigation developments affecting the crypto industry. •Bonus: experience with a broader area of litigation experience, such as consumer litigation and class actions, employment, trade secret, and privacy litigation. •Juris doctor from accredited law school required. •Member of a US state bar in good standing.
