Description

• balance the role of an individual contributor while also anchoring new projects • lead technical direction and mentoring other engineers • critical to helping engineering teams design, deploy, and manage reliable software • help debug performance issues that negatively impact reliability • define performance and reliability roadmaps for the team • set service-level objectives, improve observability, ensure production readiness • optimize service and system performance and facilitate incident response

Requirements

• at least 8 years of combined experience in backend software or infrastructure • experienced architecting and developing solutions to ambiguous problems with significant impact • strong skills around observability, debugging and performance tuning • strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly and simply • strong interpersonal skills working with Engineers from junior to principal levels • demonstrated critical thinking under pressure • a willingness to dive into understanding, debugging, and improving any layer of the stack
