Description

Lead, mentor, and coach a team of engineers, guiding technical execution, career growth, and professional development. • Drive the successful execution of engineering projects by organizing teamwork, setting goals, and holding the team accountable. Ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable software solutions, including refining QA processes and overseeing code reviews. • Actively engage with stakeholders, including Product Management, Operations, Compliance, and external partners, to manage technical dependencies while aligning technical decisions with broader business goals. • Oversee the prioritization and execution of engineering tasks, including managing critical migration projects. Ensure efficient project delivery by negotiating scope, managing resources, and maintaining project timelines. • Drive the recruitment, onboarding, and retention of top engineering talent. Uphold high hiring standards and contribute to the continuous improvement of hiring practices, ensuring a strong alignment between team dynamics and company culture. • Manage processes to help the team do its best work in a rapidly evolving organization. • Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of the Engineering Leadership team.

Requirements

You’ve managed engineering teams that have built and shipped customer-facing products at scale. • 3+ years of proven experience as an Engineering Manager, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment, and 7 years of overall software development experience. • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software engineering, particularly in backend development in cloud-native environments. • Demonstrated ability to drive project execution, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality software solutions. • Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing engineering talent. • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
