Description
• Manage a portfolio of clients and provide controllership services • Act as a fractional controller for clients • Leverage an FP&A background to provide financial forecasting • Review financial statements for trends, variance, and forecasting purposes • Overseeing the controllership process for key clients • Complete and review complex month-end tasks and procedures • Create industry-specific metrics to monitor financial performance • Prepare and send client-specific internal reporting • Liaise with bookkeeping and tax departments
Requirements
• Canadian CPA designation or MBA (preferred, but not required) • At least 3 years of financial planning and analysis (FP&A) experience • Strong bookkeeping and accounting background particularly relating to month-end closing procedures • Strong familiarity with cloud accounting platforms and Microsoft Excel • Willingness to investigate issues and problem-solve using professional judgement • Ability to work closely with a small high-performing team • Ability to lead client meetings and think strategically • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) • Hyper-organized • Independent, highly motivated, and a self-starter • Strong work ethic • Tech-savvy
