📋 Description
• Process tax payments on behalf of clients • Compliance responsibilities include: Entity formation, dissolutions and maintenance, change of entity type, SOS filings, and any other compliance work as needed. • Compliance tax filings. Filing of sales tax and cannabis excise with CDTFA reporting. Setting up CDTFA access for Clients. Local tax filings as needed. Thorough work paper documentation for each filing. • Communication with taxing agencies on client’s behalf. • Client education with regards to state and local tax compliance • Any other administrative, compliance, or tax work as required by firm or managers.
🎯 Requirements
• 3-5+ years SOS filings, sales tax filing, and CDTFA reporting experience • Some knowledge of tax laws, regulations and deadlines • Some knowledge of accounting and tax in cannabis industry • QuickBooks Experience: Transactional accounting with QuickBooks experience
