Description

β€’ Conduct research and analysis of complex, critical issues concerning the patterns and trends associated with money laundering, fraud, terrorist financing, and any other financial crime risks. β€’ Responsible for receiving, reviewing, and performing analysis of the patterns and trends associated with money laundering and other financial crimes as they relate to payment transactions, law enforcement requests, or higher risk customers. β€’ Prepare and file Suspicious Activity Reports and Suspicious Transaction Reports as required for FinCEN in the United States and FINTRAC in Canada. β€’ Utilize a wide variety of research tools including data analysis systems and open source intelligence β€’ Management and decisioning of inflight payments inbox, maintaining strict deadlines. β€’ Strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Be a subject matter expert on financial crime and fraud trends in the United States and the larger Americas region β€’ Identifying and escalating emerging risks to internal stakeholders β€’ Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage with a Global team of Compliance experts with colleagues in 20+ countries β€’ Conduct high quality investigations addressing all types of AML concerns and associated risks, demonstrating the ability to handle multiple tasks or projects at once, balance competing priorities, and maintain efficiency.

Requirements

β€’ Background in banking, financial crime, criminology, international business, or related fields, and knowledge of compliance regulations and best practices β€’ Bachelors degree plus exposure to AML, CTF, Fraud, BSA and applicable laws, financial crime compliance or 4+ years of experience in an AML role β€’ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills β€’ Strong verbal and written communication skills β€’ Detail-oriented with a high level of ethical judgement β€’ Ability to use technology (e.g. MS Office suite, search engines, reporting tools) β€’ Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross functional teams
