Description

• Corbalt is a small group of technologists working to build better software infrastructure for government. • We're a small team with experience at Google, Palantir, Bell Labs, Microsoft, and Silicon Valley startups. • This is a contract position starting immediately and continuing through 2/28/25. • Developing software in Go and Python (it's not important that you already know these languages). • Writing design docs to communicate ideas. • Working with Terraform/Cloud Formation. • Implementing AWS containers (EKS/Fargate). • AWS networking. • Ability to own a project and push it forward. • Ability to work independently. • Experience with engineering best practices. • Growth-oriented mindset. • Intrinsic motivation to learn, grow, and do great work. • Kindness. • Grit / perseverance / resilience. • The first stage is an informal conversation to communicate what we're doing, clarify any questions, and gauge interest and fit. • The second stage is a mini-project where we'll work together on a problem based on something we've actually worked on. • The last stage is a 10-20 minute presentation to the team describing what you did on a previous project and 30 minute conversations with other people on the team. • Corbalt participates in E-Verify. • Corbalt is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status.

Requirements

• Due to contractual obligations, we are only accepting candidates who are: located in and authorized to work in the United States, have lived in the United States for at least three of the last five years, and have at least three years of professional software engineering experience.
